Wolfgang, way to go! Your diorama turned out very nicely. What a pleasure it is to view it completed.
SNFF 2008 08 10 For this week, I took some photos of a Key N scale brass PRR Q2 Duplex 4-4-6-4 model. Incredible, the Korean Samhongsa workmanship and craftsmanship! Have a look, go to the web page for more pictures: Key N scale PRR Q-2 Duplex 4-4-6-4 #6131 Have a good week, all!
A few parts for an eventual baseball game on the HO layout. Now we just need a hundred or so people to fill the stands...
Great station, Wolfgang. Carl Sowell and Russell: Nice steamers! I gave up on those a long time ago. I certainly congratulate you. Here's my Espee 10 panel boxcar by Intermountain. All original; I just weathered it.
Here's some roughed-in scenery at Tunnels 5 and 6: I also plan to model the wrecked railcar hulk at the base of the valley between these two tunnels.
A little late but just finished this up: Closeups: Chief of Staff is "in a meeting" Empty operating room.
Thank you, Each floor was built as a stand alone layer that is then stacked one on top of the other. the first floor is glued to the structure, the others stack. The center of the building is open to allow for wiring for the lighting to pass through. The floors and walls are sheet styrene painted with Floquil instant weathering for a nice tan color. For the doors I cut generic rectangles on vinyl sign material and stuck them to the wall. The pictures and clocks were taken from random finds on the internet and printed various sizes on an inkjet printer. The pictures were then cut out and stuck on the walls with hobb-e-tac. The furniture was all scratch built from styrene except for the beds which came from Scale Structures. The desks and cabinets were built from hollow square and rectangle stock with the ends capped. The benches and chairs were built in 12" sections from styrene strip stock glued into the profile of a bench. I then cut the 12" piece into bench and chair length sections. The people are a combination of the Chineese Ebay people and woodland scenics for certain scenes. The floors tiles were drawn in Corel Draw and printed on paper, then laminated with Hobb-e-tac like the picture. The window shades are masking tape. Lighting is by a combination of incandecent and LED's. There are about 20 LED's in the structure plus 2 incandecent bulbs for the lower level. It has it's own 12V wall wart to power it because of the amount of power consumed. I still need to finish the roof details and weather the building. Hopefully that will happen this week so I can plant the building. It has been 3 months working on it. It started as: Here is a shot top down with the roof off into into the office:
It's actually 3 floors. I sectioned the building and chopped out a floor before the interior work was started. It was too tall for the rest of the buildings around it at 4 floors and overpowered the scene. One wall was moved back to create the ambulance bay.
