Here I revisited a 20 year old Kodachrome. Back in the days before digital cameras, the practice for writing a magazine article entailed sending in your slides to a publisher. If they accepted the article they usually kept the slides, even the ones they did not print. That left you with the crappy exposures that you had left over from "bracketing" your shots which you did not send off. So, there is only so much you can do in photoshop to bring out an acceptable image. Plus my cheep slide scanner leaves scan lines in the dark areas when you try to adjust the shadows.
Here is a photo from my very first model railroading adventure. Twelve years ago. This Z layout resided on our sailboat that my wife and I lived on for almost 20 years. The layout is shown in its teak box that attached to the bulkhead out of the way. It was 26"x36". Jim

Last week I finished a couple of boxcars, this week it is covered hoppers. Eastern Car Works ACF 1958 CF Covered Hopper kit, added main airline and piping for the brake gear. Also replaced the kit roofwalk with a Plano roofwalk and new A-Line Sill Steps. Painted car with Scalecoat II Black then lettered with recently released Highball Graphics Decals for Ann Arbor Covered Hoppers. Proto 2000 PS 4427CF High Hip Covered Hopper kit, replaced cast roofwalk with Plano supports and roofwalk for this car. Car was painted with Scalecoat II MofW Gray then lettered with Oddballs Decals.
