I don't know how the pitcher can concentrate on getting the ball over the plate with the distraction on the wall in front of him! GREAT scene, Candy!
Here's one from the Pinnacle Creek Mining & Timber Co. layout. Total depth of this photo is 8 feet. Jim
I needed to paint some horses before I could put the roof on and finish the Livery Stable for my Hollywood backlot falsefront wild west town. Unlike the false fronts that are not real buildings and have no insides, the livery stable has at least a hint of an interior. However, the classic board-and-batten façade hides a backside that is a utilitarian tin shed. And the high hay loft only has a front and one side. There are two rows of shingles around the tops of the front and sided façade walls-- otherwise, no roof. The shingles are there only to give the impression of a roof from the front and from near ground level.
That's just not right! Trains, baseball, girls, and Candy. I'm in overload mode. Mark Dance, very nice shot thanks for posting. Jim, another nice shot on a great railroad.
Thanks John, I'm scheduled for another open house on August 27 this summer. It is during the National Narrow Guage Convention. I've redone the left side, where the tipple was, and managed to get a loop for my 4-4-0 to go roundy round as well as other locos doing mining operations. Come on down. In September this layout, like all the others, will be torn down and a new adventure begun. Jim
SP Train #46's baggage car gets loaded up shortly before departing Davidsville to Chicago on my HO scale Gulf & Pacific RR. John
If Josta's picture doesn't wet your appetite for more. Candy, some interesting scenery there. You got it all in one shoot. Very nice.
Late to the party, but I worked Saturday and I'm off today.... so I'm still on my weekend. "... Pennsy GP30 #2203, run through power on the point of coal empties from Pittsburgh area, waits on a Westbound to clear the main at Ravenswood Yard..." I actually planted more trees and added some homemade ground cover this morning on the left side of this shot along US 33 and the overpass.
