Correct, as Hemi said. At last I checked it is still unpatched.

    And thanks guys.

Love the look of that M.I. car Flash!

Hickory Valley's new 13-ton Veritical-Boiler Climax is hard at work now:

See the "13-ton Climax" thread on the N side for details.

At the east end of the bridge is the East Harbor (doh!) which is the Navy base

This is a 12mm shot, single exposure, of the Navy base. Helicon software could not put this together, due to the railings, I think.

Another view of the East Harbor. I haven't poured the water yet.

While mine aren't up to most of you guys, this is what I did this weekend.
First weathering on loco (these pics are from a 2x3 Christmas layout that I'm doing)[IMG]

The other cars in the set weathered (Lifelike "Little Joe" set)

The weathering is just some dry brushing

and put some people on the layout
    [IMG]

I also got my daughter's costume ready for Tueday. She is Frodo from the Lord of the Rings. My wife is going to be Arwen and I am going to be Aragorn.

    Hi, Flash,

The West Island Model RR Club's "enclosed scene" is a section of the layout that is enclosed, such that you are looking into the scene from one end or the other end of a river canyon, and thus from either end you see the tracks go around the bend and disappear from sight, just as if you were really railfanning. :)

    Interesting and innovative.

    Another contribution:

I commissioned Jim Hinds of Richmond Controls to build a constant intensity LED headlight package
for installation in a N scale Minitrix Fairbanks-Morse H12-44 switcher.
(This is a Randy Gustafson-painted and lettered switcher)

His Richmond Controls lighting packages are superb, and they are easy to install.
    (Jim's web site is: http://www.richmondcontrols.com )

In prep for updating the web site on this switcher, I'm making
a step by step tutorial of the installation of the Richmond Controls
    kit into the Minitrix.

Just a very happy customer, and happy that Jim built this module for me. Here's the web site URL:

    Here's couple sample pictures:

    Enjoy, all!

All I can say is I am green with envy. nice work on those. I have two of that 709 unit, and I home painted ICG unit that can't come close to what you've done. It's nice to see the ICG represented. I really like that grey stripe unit too.

    Covered Hoppers

Here are the covered hoppers. These are all Microscale decals on Model Power car bodies. Pillsbury; the clear decal part was hard to disguise.

Texas and Pacific. MoPac emblem, also.

Wonderbread/Hostess Cake. There is a different logo on each side.

Wow! I tried and tried to get that Minitrix mechanism to work and I never could. I did see one work fairly well that had been hot wired to the electrical pickup. It is an unusual model (these days) and I think no one else has ever made it.

Great model, John, and good ideas on the lighting. I can vouch that Richmond Controls F7 lighting is easy to install.

    Hi, Flash,

Thx for the compliments on the Minitrix FM switcher.

If you look carefully at the first picture:

You'll note that is *not* the stock Minitrix 3-pole motor.

Did a motor swap using a Hans Starmans kit (Netherlands) with a Maxon Swiss-made motor. ( http://www.n-stars.com ) Hans does great work and I recommend anything that
    he does highly.

Now, it runs much better than the old stock 3-pole Minitrix motor. Because of the very high gearing on the Minitrix trucks, the Minitrix/Maxon combo can't creep as well as Han Starman's Arnold S-2 motor swap kit (which I also have) - but it is a ton better than the stock Minitrix. I also did some electrical pickup improvements that made a lot of difference as well.

    :)
