Finished a couple of cars recently! First a Branchline 40' Boxcar kit, where I modified the sill to match what the NP did to these cars on rebuild. Car was painted with Scalecoat II Silver and Boxcar Red paints and lettered with Microscale Decals. From the information I had these were in appliance service to be returned to the IC in Centralia,IL where a water heater plant was located. Next up a Tangent Bethlehem Steel made gon, painted with Floquil Jade Green darkened with Dark Green paint then lettered with Highball Graphics Decals. Car was in ingot mold service where ingot molds after use were returned to the steel plant for reloading. Still have to add the load to this car. Wabash GP35, C424,and U25B with a mixed freight, with mostly ART RBL's in the lead, running on the Strongsville Club layout. Rick Jesionowski
Lehigh & New England FA1 and FB1 (Rapido) leading a manifest train through Leiperville Union Station.
Well. It's been a couple of weeks. But there was a small train show today in Salt Lake City. I dropped by. I wasn't planning on buying anything at all. But I stopped by a table run by som eone I've known years, and he had the Con-Cor version of the Kodachrome SFZ swither. It wasn't very much, so I bought it. It looks ok with the Athearn BB switched I detailed.
