Of my new shots of the layout, I like this one. I just plunked the camera on the tracks and started shooting. It's a reverse view of my steam service facility.
Great photos everyone I've been weathering freight cars this week and finally got them finished on Friday, so I took some photos of them on the layout Jon
Mid october, the "American Railroadfans in Switzerland" held their Convention. Here are a few pictures as example that stands for all the people that made this exhibition so successful. Stefan N-Scale Modules "Waukesha Junction" by Manfred Neurauter of Austria N-scale layout "Somwhere West" by Daniel Roth and Lucien Wiss of France. O-scale layout "The Merchant Row System" by a group of very talented modelers from France. H0-scale "Pocahontas Mining Company" by the Stuttgart Modelrailroaders of Germany.
N-scale GP15AC, MP1726 weathered this morning per the prototype: http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/mp/mp1726ads.jpg
Some amazing photos again this week, Pete those shots are just some of the best I've seen from you. Here are my geeps finally earning some income for the railroad.
You know, I'm trying to improve both my modeling and photography skills. It's a long, long process. I'd rather be out mingling with the bears! This guy and I kind of bonded.
If you go out in the pouring rain, I think animals are more likely to ignore you. I'm thinking of the refrain that "Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun." In Alaska, in August 2006, there was nothing but buckets of rain. Of course, as an Irishman, I was out in the mid-day rain. For about three weeks. To tie this into something even vaguely train related, I was hunting trains when I met the bear (and his sow) and this little Sitka. Jeanne thought it was Bambi until I explained that it was full-grown.
That's one mean-looking steamer in that last shot, Pete! I started with this F45 kit this week, (well, a pair of them): And detailed it to this point; actually, all the side step treads, side steps, jacking pads, sand filler caps coupler cut levers, and MU hoses are installed (not shown). The model is detailed as far as I can get it prior to painting. I'll take before and after paint pics, if I paint today:
Ironhead Timber Company by Bob Clarke I will have to add old photos this week. Here is a great layout, the On30 Iron Head Timber Company. Two photos.
SMRC Open House Today I took in the Scarborough Model Railway Clubs Open House. This is a club I am considering joining, I took some pictures for you to enjoy. The club house is on two levels housing both a H0 and a N scale layout. It is apparently the only two scale running club in Toronto.
