Flash, my SP car has a single sliding door as well. I remember that scheme on later cars and I like it a lot. Bob, you and Mr. Sing have done great things with Unitrack. Gets my juices flowing to get something done! Like I told Chuck on Saturday, I really should stop buying cars and locos and maybe buy some track. I got me a couple of the new Athearn NACC 50' box cars in WP...very nice!
John: Chuck can supply you with all the Unitrack you'll need. I would get started . Find a trackplan you can modify. All HO trackplans are easy to modify to Unitrack. If you need help, e-mail me or call me. Stay cool and run steam.....
Nice work guys! Flash, I really like the yard photo. Looking good Bob, you've done some planting. Loco1999
Loco1999 stated: "Looking good Bob, you've done some planting. " Loco1999: Those are some of the dried Goldenrod plants you sent me last fall. Thanks again, I appreciated your sending me these as we don't have this variety available in South Florida. Those cars look great. It looks like you're into some very heavy weathering. Stay cool and run steam......
A wonderful varied selection of photos guys I am particularly inspired by some of the superbly weathered freightcars, something I will soon have to tackle! And Dave, I can never see enough of your brilliant Tehachapi layout
John Breen Great job on the flat car and tractor loads! The stripe looks great on the steamer as does the truck! The wood chip car came out great! Fotheringill Nice Shot! Looks cool coming out of the cut. Jon Awesome job with the shoebox layout! Flash Great looking switchers and yard shot! Bob Nice looking E-8s! Loco1999 Awesome weathering job on the hoppers!
Here's one of the LL GP20's I've been working on. I can't seem to find the hornj or the bell so they are missing right now. I also need to add some detail parts.
Anthony, that GP20 looks great! I have one that I'm going to add a high nose to someday to make WP GP20 #2001 (someday!)
anthony, how did you strip that shell? i've got 2 gp20s i need to repaint and was curious what worked for you. thanks. beast
Wow. Nice work. Mine all still say Union Pacific on the side and have number 474 on the cab. I need to get to work.
Anthony, you can get bells and horns from Sunrise parts, I just bought some details recently from Feather River Trains
Beast, I used rubbing alcohol on my LL GP18s. Worked very well. What was really interesting was that..one geep was gray plastic and the other was yellow plastic with brown plastic pieces.
