    Paul,
I love it! Great work! I envy you for taking the time for putting your Layout "Badger Creek" online for all of us. I wouldn't mind seeing another feature if you thought it would add to your site. As you already know I'm big on loco's and steam to the very end. However I'd love to see some outshoped pictures of your loco fleet on your web page... Like a roster type thing...

I'm fond of the Shay loco as alot are.. and the Heiseler... The Climax by MDC just isn't the Climax loco I'm familar of... With the 45 degree angle cylinders connected to a crank shaft mid way of the loco that you can see. The MDC is a covered version of this... To bad they didn't make it the normal way the Climax loco's were. But anyway, I wouldn't mind looking through your loco roster just for the fun of it....

For me I must say something though, the MDC Shay has got to be one of the hardest loco's to assemble.... I'm still working on mine, on and off. I work on it when I have a chance. But whats the secret to making a smooth running MDC Shay? Besides a good motor and flywheel.. I take it that the side winder shaft has to have some special treatment on its assembly to run smooth and all.... Even though I haven't got that far on mine yet.. It would sure help to know how or what makes a Shay run smooth...

    As MY son would say,

    Your layout is DA BOMB!!!

(yes, it's a compliment, but back when I was his age it meant the opposite :D )

Thanks for posting, Paul- as usual, those shots are inspirational. [IMG]
