Good quality pictures. How often do they refresh with a new one?

    Hi John!
Thank you for the hint! I didn't even know this webcam, even though I live in Switzerland. Shame on me!

    Ronald

BTW: The Susten pass road is closed now for the Winter until Spring 2001. People up there in the Alps now REALLY depend on your Sustenbahn! Keep those trains rolling! [IMG]

    Hello Ronald,
I only came across the Re460 webcam when I visited the Switzerland Tourism website in anticipation of a trip to your beautiful country in January. Also I am pleased to announce that Susten car-carrying trains have commenced and that the Tmll with snow plows is ready for action!!!!

During some "housekeeping", I came across this post, and to my surprise, the webcam limk is still online [IMG] Still not sure how often it refreshes.

    Hi All,
At best the image appears to refresh every 30 minutes but often it does not change for days !!! Apparently they have been having problems with the signal from the camera when the loco is drawing a high current from the overhead wires.
When the camera is working OK it's amazing how often the same image is repeated..........This is because the loco often works the same route on a cycle that can last a week or more and as the Swiss timetable is "regular interval" it passes the same location at the same minutes past each hour throughout the day. Assuming that it is "on schedule" which Swiss trains usually are [IMG] I haven't got a decent photo of the real loco but for anyone interested here is the Minitrix N-scale model.

Believe it or not the livery is genuine :D Best wishes,
    John.

Hey Guys, I'm impressed .... there's a new image from last night when looked at it.

Now if I can only remember to look at it in the morning my time, i.e. SSB minus 7 hours, I'll see some great Swiss scenery.

    Thanks for the link

Hello Goskin, welcome to Trainboard [IMG] Apparently, it changes about half-hourly, although sometimes does not chang for a few days! (See John Whitby's post above)

Hope you enjoy trainboard, and will tell us something about the trains in Turkey [IMG]
