RR Car Filled With Lumber hit by Commuter Rail

(not sure where to put this)
No serious injuries. This is the same line where vandals left 2 SUVs on the track.

"Good show" to that engineer. That's paying attention.

If this was some sort of sabotage or vandalism I hope they find who did it and make them pay for all the damage, hospital bills, etc., even if it means their wages are garnished for years to come. This is complete bull-shine.

    Steve-

    Fine as it is now.

These can go in the Ready Track. Or the appropriate RR Forum.

I have to agree. If a deliberate act, the perpetrator(s) should have to pick up all bills. Unfortunately, in our current "justice" system, it will not happen.

If an accident,

Paying for the bills will definitely not happen no matter the outcome... however one could argue to persecute 150 cases of attempted murder...

These stories you posted about the engineer's quick thinking and the conductor's role show the value of a well-trained, experienced crew. This is a much better outcome than could have been.
