A rental truck gets too close for comfort this evening with CRANDIC's Job 12.

Too bad it wasn't a little closer. Then they wouldn't park there any more.

Perhaps a word from a concerned citizen (hello, CRANDIC) to Ryder about how one of their customers is treating their rental property.....looks like there are still a couple of whiz kids who still don't believe the railroad's back in town.

Surely there's something about blocking interstate commerce or impeding with business that should get their attention- either that, or firing the bozo parking the truck.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. What needed to be done was hit the truck, do damage to the truck and the engine, and that just might get their attention.

Legally, the train ALWAYS has the right-of-way, so if the truck had been hit it would've been the drivers fault. ......My boss once hit a parked car (the driver had "angled" into a spot too small for the car) with the universities garbage truck. The impact threw the car over the snow berm (winter) off a tree and into the front yard of the house it was parked in front of. Seconds later a police car came around the corner and stopped.....he walked over to the car, placed a parking ticket on the window and told my boss to have a nice day...seems he's seen the park job and was circling the block to ticket the car....which he did. No fault on my boss's part.....you gotta love it! But having said that , I'm sure there would've been lots of paperwork if the train had hit the truck. Probably not worth it just to make a point.

The crew did have to file some paperwork on the incident.
