I do realise this a site for our hobby, modelrailroading and all it entails; not for politics. However, as I write this, in Ukraine, a war is going on. This is not about politics, this is about a humanitarian catastrophy. One of our boardmembers, Alex (you may know him through his Zmodell products, like the decoders for the RS locos), is living in Ukraine and currently trying to find his way to Poland, with his two young kids. Highways are jammed with fleeing people, so traffic is slow and petrol is scarce. Air strikes from Russian invaders damage highways, as could be seen on a photo he posted. On the f.z-freunde-international.de z scale forum people are in touch with him and initiatives are under way for help in Poland and Germany, should he be able to reach and cross the border. Our thoughts and prayers are with him. I thought you should know. Matt
