These are now unobtainable from any source it seems, and Athearn don't have plans for more. If anyone has one, or several, that they know longer want I would be keen to negotiate a sale, swap, etc, alternatively if they have a LHS that they think may still have one could they let me know.
Yes the Athearn large dump truck vehicle look very nice models, and good for what I want which is coal mine scene. If you know of any simlar / as good would be interested. Thanks
There are several dump trucks available. GHQ produces a Ford 8000 dump and had a Peterbilt version available years ago. CinC had some dump trucks available but they are a bit smaller and unsuitable for mine use. Lineside has a Mack DM800 Mine truck for coal hauling. If you need an off road dump, try the Railway Express Models Euclid dump. Bachmann also produced a Euclid dump that can be upgraded. CMW has a white COE dump though its a bit small for mine use. You can also kit ash your own with a donor tractor and a dump bed from Mark4Design. Athearn will re run the dump trucks but probably not for a while.
