Walthers N Modern Roundhouse Kit

Could someone confirm for me whether or not the Walthers N scale modern roundhouse kit actual has the parts included for the extended bay? The Walthers site states that it does but the instruction sheets don't support that statement. The HO scale version definitely shows the add-on in the instructions. Thanks!

Are you talking about the DCC ready version or the previous non-dcc ready version. I have the non-dcc version and it did not come with extended bays. I can not say about the newer version.

I’m so sorry! I have the Atlas kit, not the Walthers.

I have both that one that goes with the turntable and the one that came before it. Neither one has the extension bays.

I am not sure if there were any addon's when they released the DCC turntable or not. The new Roundhouse was setup to work with the new Turntable. The old one was completely different.

 

Thanks for the info! I think Walthers just copies the descriptions from the HO scale kits for their N scale versions without actually checking if things are all the same. It’s not a deal breaker but I think an extended bay would have added some visual interest.
