Has anyone picked up this model yet? I just did, and while I'm generally happy, I have one question...

The main coal silos LOOK like they are one piece in all the photos of this model, but they aren't. So, what is the best method of blending the parts so they DO appear to be one part? Just some modelling putty? Any thoughts?

I havent seen this kit yet , but if its anything like the Medusa cement silos I might be able to help. I used automotive spot putty, it comes in a tube premixed. All I did was using a 1 1/2" wide peice of flexible plastic to smooth it on over the joint. Let it dry overnite and sand with a couple different grades of fine grit paper. I think I did this a couple of times till I was satisifed with the look of the silos. Of all the Walthers kits that I have assembeled I have always been quite satisified with the resulting model. And have never had to do any modifying to get a good looking model.Untill I came to the Medusa kit. I cant say that it is a bad kit though, it just would have benifited with a bit of braceing inside the silos to prevent warping. Its nothing that an experianced modeler cant fix easily though....HTH/......Mike
