Essex, MT in 2017.
Missed the obvious - does a mod want to move these into the "Snow Photos" thread?
Cool stuff! Good to see some of the old GN equipment still out there!
There's a few of these down in Auburn Yard, waiting the call as well.
Aye - we have a spreader and a rotary in Wenatchee, too.
Here in Yarmouth Nova Scotia we don't even have a railroad anymore. But I glad some of you people do.
Otherwise I wouldn't have the chance to see the equipment out there!
Oh.....A special thanks to all of you who post these and other sorts of photos!!
Wow, nice catches! Some of the stuff looks like the armored trains they used in WW1 and 2...
Considering the built date on the one is 1936 and the other one looks older - maybe some of it was war surplus. Looks home made - in contrast, I'd expect the new Harsco one to have electric windows, door locks, air conditioning and a stereo system. ;-)
Seems quite good as a stand alone topic.
Wenatchee, Wa a few years ago....
Hard to see, but it had one of those Calvin stickers pee'in on a UP shield!
And this one was in Sky.....
The first thing that came to mind when I saw that first, head-on photo of BN 972502 was...
need... more... coffee...
Really cool! The paint job on this unit looks really good considering how long it's probably been since that scheme was used.
I've shared this one years ago. Great Falls, MT:
Somebody had some fun with this one. Can you imagine being out in the middle of a snow storm and see that heading at you.
That sure ain't no Furby!
If that's a cigar clenched in it's teeth.....it means business!!...Snow business LOL
