What is out there in the way of WP videos? (Must be strictly from the days of pre-yellow fever!) BoxcabE50
Well, I went through my limited collection and found one of two. The one I found is pretty good. It is "Western Pacific The WP's first 50 years-1910-1960." It was put out by Vintage Video a Catenary Video Productions. The second one is about the California Zephyr and was loaned for a train show and I'm not sure it came back. There maybe others out there, since the WP one came out in 1992. I don't keep up with the video catalogs like I used to. Pentrex may have some stuff that covers the WP. Hope this helps. Greg
Greg- Believe that I have that CZ tape? Got it via Pentrex. Also have the "Western Pacific's Feather River Canyon Route" by Icon Video Prod. (Came out about 7-8 years ago?) Was hoping that there was more out there. Perhaps something that covers either east or west of the Canyon. BoxcabE50 [ 01. August 2002, 04:28: Message edited by: BoxcabE50 ]
The Western Pacific's Feather River Canyon Route from Icon, is different than the one I have. If you get a chance take a look at the "First 50 years tape." It has steam, FT's and F7's, my kind of tape. A good friend of mine said there maybe pictures of his dad running the Zephyr in it. I need to go back and look. Greg [ 01. I have 2 videos from Charles Smiley on the WP that are very good. You can order those and others from the website trainmovies.com they are reasonably priced. 2slim
