Hello, a nice video with English narration about our layout and operation scheme at the FREMO 40+2 anniversary meeting is now available:
And it is very interesting to see the layout from the engineers view, even with a low depth of field and lots of "giants" in the background...
Thanks for the videos, BerNd. I especially enjoyed the second video taken from the engineer's point of view. I am always amazed at how real and massive N scale trains look when seen from an N scale person's perspective.
More than nice , very informational. Loved the operation but what was really great for me was the magnitude and very high quality of the scenery. I'll be going back and watching both videos (downloaded them with 4K Video DownLoader) many times I'm sure for ideas on scenery. Since I'm western, canyons and desert, the scenery itself is different but still much can be learned from it and the town and industry scenes. Being a video it is like getting a thousand or more still pictures of the layout as you can stop the video at any place and study the scene or do a screen capture to save an individual image. I'd be interested in how all of those modules were transported and where they all came from. Hats off to all that participated in that. Sumner
Hello Sumner, some more info is available on the FREMO homepage. Google Translate should be helpful for translation: https://www.fremo-net.eu/modulsysteme/baugroesse-n/american/american-aktivitaeten/magdeburg2023/ On the picture below you can see the luxury version for module storage and transportation: these scratchbuilt module cabinets on wheels in NP livery. They are transported in a horse trailer. I put my 12ft of modules, feet and other stuff in my tiny Ford Fiesta : one triple pack and two double packs.
