    On my around the room layout, I use 80 #6 Unitrack switches and four double crossovers. I no longer use #4 switches which I used on my previous layout. This around the room layout has been fully operational for seven years and the basic scenery has been completed. All that remains is the fine detailing. The layout is located in a 12x21' train room.

    Have fun with the # 4 switches. John Sing has an excellent tutorial on making the Unitrack #4 switches fully operational.

    Kato #4 are the Achilles Heel of their entire line of track... I will not go through the trouble of fixing them either... just go with the tried an true #6 if possible. I can't believe Kato hasn't bothered to fix these troublesome turnouts.

    I adjusted 10 #4 Unitrack switches on my last layout using John Sing's tutorial which he posted years ago.
