Hi everyone, I have all my track laid down and have been doing some research on using servos for my turnouts. I have bought all the servos, SPDT toggle switchs, bunch of 200 ohm resistors. I don't want to buy some fancy servo controller. I read the article in MRR about putting the micro servo into a stall situation and that I believe is was I am going to do. The only problem that I think is keeping me from wiring everything up is that the diagram on MRR showed a positive 9 volts on one side of the switch, the middle tab on the switch had two 200 ohm resisters twisted together and then connected to one side of the servo. The last tab on the switch is wired with negative 9 volts. I have a 12 volt variable power supply that I can dial down to 9 volts. Now it only has a positive and negative. The diagram shows 3 wires, + 9volt, ground, - 9volt. What do I need to do in order to get these darn things to work? Really confused LOL. Can someone point me in the right direction? Not having much luck with Google or the search engine here.
Please see the other "servo" thread for some (I hope) useful information: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?162334-servos-for-turnout-control And a suggestion: It's almost always best to post questions on a topic in just one thread. Using multiple threads makes the discussion harder to follow. - Jeff
