I know this has been done by many model railroaders.
Here is my effort and it is placed at the end of track at the port of Tayside on my MAT layout.
The overhead bridge hides the top edge of the mirror. The Lamb Industries building looks twice its size in this view.
    Any other examples out there??

Amen to that HemiAdda2d. John Allen has had a huge influence on me over the years.

    Very nice work. [IMG]

Mirrors in model railroading is certainly not new. There was of course John Allen's work, Malcolm Furlow did some very impressive work with mirrors as well in the 1980's and I am sure there are many others.

Nonetheless, once again, very nice work!! [IMG]

    Hey Robin,
Don't use up all your pictures... remember there is Lonely Hearts Part 2 starting around mid-Sept. What will you bring to the picnic for show and tell?

Rick, it seems that I will never run out of projects for this layout. There is a ton of stuff still to do so I am sure I will be around but maybe not until the end of September.
In the meantime I will still show a few as they develop.

I know you are one of those steady hard working types who works regularly on your layout. I look forward to seeing more of your work. I too am leaving in a couple of days for a two month work in Vernon, British Columbia. So I won't be posting a great deal over the summer. Have good one Robin and hope your summer isn't too humid.

I don't think Robin was looking for us to state the obvious, (ie: letting him know that he wasn't the first person to use a mirror on his layout). I think he wanted other trainboard members to post examples of THEIR work with mirrors. Nice job Robin! Seeing other's skillful art is very inspiring, and encouraging. Thanks!

Rick, You should drop in to the O'keef Ranch while you are in Vernon and see their HO and N layouts. [IMG]

If you get near Westbank (about 40 min drive from Vernon and 8 miles West of Kelowna) you're welcome to drop in anytime for a visit and look see. It gets lonely up here as we don't have many N scalers around that are doing anything.
