Here is a short video of the Centennial tour as it came through New Mexico and El Paso in November 2011.
I was not aware that the tender was jacked up in the rear. The decoder is an ESU Loksound Select Micro with the Steam Collection file. Note how smooth the 844 runs with the ESU decoder. The UP 1996 is consisted and ran well in the train.

Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy,

    Carl

    Nice!

Just curious- What was the problem with that tender?

    Thanks B C,

What was wrong with that tender? Actually nothing, it was my haste to run the darn thing. I did not realize that there were two wires hanging out and that prevented the rear of the tender from sitting down properly as it should have. You know, one of those DUH moments.

    Ah. Nothing defective then.

Been there, done that. Last weekend I was trying to take a picture of a depot I'd just finished. Could not figure out why the pictures kept coming skewed. Turned out that I'd not set the roof assembly on straight. Yup. DUH.
