I'm having trouble uploading photos. When I click on the photo icon it brings up a screen to add Url's. Where is the screen to add photos from my computer. Help!
Yeah, something has changed where the icon only gives you the option of loading an image from a URL somewhere on the web already. To upload a photo directly from your computer click on the "Go Advanced" button at the lower right in your message composing screen. A screen will come up with a "Manage Attachments" button below. Click on that and find the green "Add Files" button in the upper right of the new pop up screen. It looks the same as old from there.
MRR forums *should* be the most user friendly photo loading forums on the net......unfortunately, they are not. Each has a series of hoops to jump thru to load a photo into to your posts. For me, the easiest way do do (most) all of them is to create an album and download from your computer to that and from there to your post. Sure, it's a PITA but it doesn't seem (thus far) to change (none of this photobucket crap) on three of the forums to which I subscribe.....the 4th forum is different from all...that figures. I could lead you thru this mess but it's better to go crash & bang your own way so it sticks in your haid.....the path is NOT intuitive, IMO. I will help if needed.
At best your software is ambivalent. Try : http://forums.pelicanparts.com/ Three clicks of the mouse to post about any size photo. If you don't like my opinion, I have others.
That's all right, I'm an old guy. I notice you don't dispute the 3 click deal. "New Improved" is always better, right? I understand that the later version may be better at keeping "bugs" out.
Depending on how one wants to count Mouse Clicks I can post a photo here in the forums in 2 Clicks (1) Right-Click (2) PASTE Of course to get the image into my buffer I had to (1) Right Click (2) Copy Image from one of my websites first; but, the opening poster was talking about Upload challenges to RailImages...
I did not understand it that way. The poster mentioned clicking on the icon. There is not an icon when uploading to Railimages only on the Reply screen.
