This is a pretty cool program that UP has never done before. The steam team has setup a contest where "we the people" get to help decide where a steam excursion runs in 2011! You just need an email address to vote for the city of your choice. There is also the opportunity for winning prizes by participating. VOTE FOR A TOWN ON THE TENNESSEE PASS ROUTE!!!! It will at least be a way of saying we want it to operate again as railfans, wonder why these towns can even be voted for.:tb-wink: Alex
Yeah, Steamboat is a good choice! Don't know why I didn't think about the Craig Branch. But I'd still be happy with Grand Junction! As for Tennessee Pass, well, let's be realistic. That's kinda like voting for a third party candidate in an election. You're just throwing your vote away :tb-biggrin:
Unfortunately, it would cost millions for the UP to rehab TP just to run over it again. Last steam over TP was in 1997.
