SP 7135 (GP40-2) on the point of the Saugus Local today...unpatched by the UP, yes...but unfortunately Tagged by the local gangs.
Yes Alan, there are still a few left unpatched from the UP...last information I saw...about 30 days ago...was about 70 former SP units still in their original road number/paint etc...
I hate those yellow panels! Cheyenne, WY: In between T2 and T3 (west of Plainview, CO): Rollinsville, CO:
So would it be considered "tagging" if we painted those yellow panels gray to match the rest of the locomotive? Here's an "almost nearly but not quite hardly" taken about 6 months ago...
And nothing says SP like the proper nose lights! (OK, OK.......I did add my own personal red light, but it sure did look good, even if just for a moment!)
Ahhh, ohhhh, whew!!!! Knees started.....to....buckle!!! OUCH!!! head....hit desk..... The "Mother Ship" is calling.........
Wasn't that long ago I would see nothing but SP AC4400Ws on the North Fork Branch coal trains in & out of Grand Junction........glad to see the "class unit" (SP 100) is still un-Borged. We have a unpatched SP GP40 mated with a "Borg-patched" GP38-2 serving yard switching and local chores at Ray Yard in Denison.
What's up with the wooden 2x10 on the front of the loco? Harold </font>[/QUOTE]Well, the loco has a "bloody nose" so that must be the splint!!!
