Well, since getting licensed from UP I have been working on those 6 Heritage Units. They have been in production, at the printers, for over a month. Most of the staff has been hit with the Strep that is going around and now with the holiday season the rest are gone. I should have prints sometime early/mid next month once everyone gets back and is well. The 6 drawings came out fantastic. I forgot to get pics of the originals before I took them in for production but as I get them back I will post shots of them here. By the way, for those of you new to my posts all the works below were created with color and graphite pencils. First prints that should be coming in are of the D&RGW unit and the CNW unit. Check back to this thread often to see the pictures as I get them back. Here is the D&RGW original finally back, I will post a better shot of it later when I get the prints in, I couldn't get the lighting right and the right side looks washed out. Here is the Chicago & North Western unit. I just got the original back on Firday. Again, sorry about the picture quality. Got the MOPAC back today.... Got the WP back today. Sorry the shot isn't very good, the drawing is beautiful though! Got the SP back this morning, sorry about the picture quality below, but the original is very nice! I can only post 4 shots in this post, so look for the SP image in the last post! Just posted the MKT in the last post. I just got it back today.
Yeah, me too!!! I know, a cheesy response, but I am anxious to see these. Any chance of a print with all 6?
Probably not one with all 6 together in one print anytime soon. These were all sideviews and when I do them again they will be 3/4 views but individually as well. The Alaska Rail drawing is scheduled to go in late next week. Hopefully I will be able to pick at least one or two of the Heritage originals up then.
I am supposed to take the Alaska Road piece in tomorrow and according to them I can pick up the "orange one with the triangle thingies towards the front". I am assuming they mean the Rio Grande unit. They said they have the photo's shot for it and I can have it back but no news on the other 5. They have had these 6 for almost a month now so if I am just now getting the first original back I am guessing the first prints wont be in until mid/late January and that will probably only be for the 1st 2. Soon as I get the original back I will post a shot of it in the original post of this thread. I might not get it up here until after New Year's though.
Here is the D&RGW Once the "edit" feature is back up and running I will put this photo in the original post. I just got this back yesterday. The production company is way behind. This is the first original I have gotten back out of the six I gave them early last month and I don't expect prints of it for at least 2-3 weeks. Hopefully by then the rest of the originals will trickle back in as they get back up to speed. Anyway, here you go, sorry if the right side of the image looks a bit washed out. I couldn't get the lighting right:
Can I put a plug in for F9 5771 with the F9B, that's at CO RR museum? Or the saved-from-the-Borg-patch 5371 tunnel motor?
'Wobbly' refers to 'Wobbly & Pathetic', or Western Pacific. I didn't name it, just passing on the slang...
