I'm not sure if folks saw this, so I thought I'd show it here. Russell Straw, r_i_straw, took a photo that was featured on Union Pacific's Facebook photos. I've shared it here on Colorado Railroad's FB page as well. Hearty congratulations to Russell for his achievement!
Thanks, yeah I am still up here exploring the old Tennessee Pass route. So far this year I have followed part of the old 1880's narrow gauge alignment at the top of the pass, hiked through the summit tunnel from the east portal and skied down from Redcliff to the tunnel just below the old Gilman mine. Here are some photos I took in past years of the area. http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showgallery.php/cat/2209
Proud for Russell, but looking at it makes me sad...that no one has made or is even planning on making a FEF UP 844 in N scale!
Thanks every one. I get a lot of inspiration from the many talented photographers here on Trainboard. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
