This was from my last steam chasing of the 844. Here she is backing into the steam shops in Cheyenne WY on November 9th, 2010. Steam looks better when there is some snow around. I was very cold as I took several pics for the 2 hours I was there....but worth it!
Love it! I miss my steam chases! Got more pics? Steam is spectacular in the extreme cold. I may have taken 200 pics of the two iron steeds in front of that steam shop while I lived in Cheyenne. Here's the first steam-up of 844, after her complete rebuilding, sometime in late 2004/early 2005:
Yes, cold and steam produce some great photo ops, evidenced by that great steam condensation in your shot. I'm with Hemi, do you have more? :tb-biggrin:
Here's one taken outside Kearney, Nebraska..........."844" on her way back to Cheyenne in November. My six yr. old grandson & I have been chasing her for three!! years, and finally! got to see her.........it was so cool :tb-cool:
