I have seen a few threads on roundhouses and turntables and I am wondering which turntable is easily fit with DCC, indexed relatively simple and is not extremely expensive?
Thanks to all that respond (I will be using Kato unitrack with the turntable).

    Jeff,

I've been really happy with the new Walthers TT, which lists for $300, but is often discounted. It's indexed, DCC-compatible, pretty rugged, large enough for a Big Boy, and looks good.

I believe that some of the kits, when you include an indexer, are actually more expensive.

The new Walthers TT is probably the best bang for the buck considering it is built, indexed and ready to be installed and looks great too. I have seen it for $199 street price.

There are other fine ones out there that require building/putting together.
it just depends on if you like building it, or having it built ready to go.

    The cheaper one's are lacking:

The old Walthers - usually about $17 street price - has many flaws and is a PITA adn not indexed and still requires a $24 motor kit.

The Atlas is reliable but very noisey if motorized, it's not a pit design, fixed indexing, also the indexing is odd as it will sit at each stall/spot a while while turning, so it looks a little, well, lame.

There are others that I believe are pretty good but they are smaller.
