Don't quit. Pushing the mind expands the mind. Dig deap for some trivia. There are some very intelligent folks here and I'm sure the questions will lead to good debate. Here is an example from a CSX timetable: What is the maximum number of axles that may be used to shove trains from the Alexandria Extension into Landover Subdivision tracks A, B, No.4 or No.5 main tracks? The answer can be found in the Capitol Subdivision Special Instructions in the CSX Baltimore Division Timetable No.5, dated January 1, 2005.
You are doing fine - Keep them coming! Just because BrianS doesn't like your topics doesn't mean the rest of us don't. Even my morning Radio Station triva is sometimes easy and sometimes hard but either way people still enjoy the topic.
Alex- don't sweat BrianS. The trivia idea is a good one, and with time you'll find other topics. Keep on trackin'!
Alex, I can give you a thousand metaphors why you should or should not continue. The bottom line is you only need to answer to yourself. If posting the trivia question makes you happy, then continue to do it. In an earlier trivia question, you asked "what year did NORFOLK SOUTHERN become a railroad???" While you were looking for the modern merger of December 1990, I also learned thanks to Matthew Roberts that the "Norfolk Southern Railway was founded in January 20th, 1870 as the Elizabeth City and Norfolk Railway, and was reorganized as the Norfolk Southern in 1910!" A bit of web surfing, and I have learned much more. So I think you should continue. By the way, the answer is 24 axles.
Why is it 24 axles? It's not fair for you guys to just answer and not explain to us neophytes what the reason is.
Well this aint the first time BrianS had something bad to say about my topics but oh well i dont care i aint gonna get mad and go off and kicked out of the forum because of this guy
Alex Do not give in keep up the Trivia, why not expand it include some international Rail Roads as well. You are getting responses to your Trivia posts so the membership is interested.
Yeah thank you all for all of yalls support but BrianS if you dont think my post is good enough for you then dont read it it dont bother me one bit
SP dont get me wrong i didnt mean to have an attitude when i said MAY I ASK WHY i was just tryin to figure out SORRY about that bud
Don't worry about Brian Schmidt. Ignore him, as most of us do. He's insinuated, on another forum on more than once occasion, that he's proud to be considered a troll here. Trolls get infuriated when they are ignored, so just ignore them and let them stew in their own foul juices.
