This is something I have wanted to do after completing my Challenger refurbish. My camera skills suck and I could not get rid of the background conversation but I was interested to see how this combo worked. It worked well with FEF on point but after I change the front coupler to something better I should be able to put 3982 on point.

Next up is to speed match my Big Boy and GS 4 to run with these. Gosh, a 4 steamer consist with FEF, GS4, Challenger, and Big Boy, Why not ? ? Works for me ! ! !

    Hope you enjoy,

    Carl

    George,

That FEF is a powerful loco. The other day I had the Challenger on point and the FEF second. I was "adjusting" stuff. I looked over and thought something was strange. The Challenger was not running and the FEF was pulling a track cleaner and pushing the Challenger along. Stopped it quickly so I did not ruin any traction tires. But the 844 is a horse.

    Be well,
    Carl
