Does anyone know of a company that made TT scale back in the 30's or 40's that was in Indiana or Illinois? I have not seen this particular train set, but the person that owns it says it has a streamline diesel and "silver" passenger cars. The rail is in rolls and has to be inserted into the ties. Also, he thinks it's either metal or tin plate. Anyone have any ideas who made this train set and it's worth?
Without seeing it I would hazard a guess that it was HP Products.Yes,I just checked in a 1954 issue of Model Railroader and they show an address in Hartford,Ind. As to value,not much really as they weren't well detailed by today standards and they aren't in much demand.Only a handful of guys even know about TT scale! Diesels maybe 20-50 bucks and cars 5-10 each depending on condition of course. Hope this is some help.
