    This is very good news. I hope they can succeed in preserving this structure. I had hoped to get by there last summer, but never made it.

    Any depot is worth saving in this day and age!! Nice lookin' station too! It'll make a great museum.

    Sorry.....still no pictures, but a small update. The museum in Three Forks, which is doing the depot restoration in the hopes of moving their railroad items in, is hoping to do a small fundraiser at the end of july (I believe the 27th and 28th). MTNTRAK is going to do a setup in the baggage room of the depot.......to that end, I took a quick tour yesterday. Still LOTS of work, but the depot is on a foundation, has floors and lights. The interior was completely stripped....only the wood framing remains.....so a lot of work needed on the inside. But work is proceeding and the depot sits near the old Milwaukee road mainline (long gone) alongside a Milwaukee Road caboose......It's a start.
