Some photographs from the early 1980s when I was temporarily assigned as a geophysicist to the railroad division. I worked mostly on the mainline from Evanston to Cheyenne, including USS line north of Rock Springs, and participated in evaluation of Flat Irons to East Portal on DRG west of Boulder. Fun job during the warm summer months, but brutal conditions in winter.
