    Hello everyone,

    The Trainini website has been completely revamped a few days ago and is now also available in English: https://www.trainini.eu/. We hope you like the facelift and extra content.

    You will find the May issue of the Trainini international edition at https://www.trainini.eu/magazine/issues (for or a direct pdf download click https://www.trainini.eu/fileadmin/media/Magazin/2021/Trainini_int_2021-05.pdf). That link will also give you a more direct access to back issues.

    The original German language version usually appears around ten days before the international issue. So those of you knowing German or being impatient and willing to use machine translation check towards the end of each month under https://www.trainini.de/magazin/ausgaben .

    Contents of the May issue:
    - Märklin's revised NOHAB models;
    - MAN 630 truck from Ratimo-Z;
    - A practical guide to model railway photography (part 1);
    - Report on HOS Modellbahntechnik, a small-series producer of Z scale accessories;
    - Letters to the editor, product announcements and other news.

    Happy reading!

    Chris, thanks for update. I’m a long time reader.

    Trainini (and Continental Modeler), both European published, have far more creative content and significant contribution from modelers. The attention to detail is impeccable and you get to see what railroading is like in different countries. When I was traveling long hauls, the best reading (and showing the hobby) to take up the time!

    Continental Modeler is an annual paid subscription (English) thru Apple and others.

    Model Railroad Hobbyist, in the U.S., publishes 300+ pages every months covering many topics. Also free (sponsored by the similar ads you see in other RR magazines except in this case, you can click to go to them, which is the compensation to MRH publishing costs)

    Thanks! Does Continental Modeler do much in Z? I have a Pocketmags subscription to a model aircraft magazine so I have the App already. And (shameless plug) that is my Cougar on the cover ;)

    Yes, but it’s not so much that I’m looking for something Z specific, it’s more of the concepts, ideas, skills another encouragements for a better detailed layout.
    Much more creative scenery and scenes in the European railroad magazines.
