I just recieved an e mail from Pay Pal that my car is on it's way. I just wanna give Charlie a BIG Thank You for your effort on this. This is why I love TrainBoard! Can't wait til I get it in my hands!
My Pay Pal notification came in at 3am, one day last week. I hope that was a Pay Pal thing and not an indication of how late, your working Charlie.
My PayPal Notice shows my address as: 5225 North Highway 38 Box 44 Honeyville, UT 84314 There should be a P.O. in front of the Box, the postoffice mite get comefused, but hopefully they will figure it out.
I hope so because I shipped yours today. Several addresses came up from PayPal as being non-standard and it will only let you print a label using the address that the USPS likes. Charlie
With any luck mine will be here later today. Post Office website indicates it left the last sorting facility (100 miles away) between Maine and my post office yesterday in the early afternoon. Thanks for the GREAT work Charlie. Gary
Hi Have you worked out the extra postage for those overseas? There are at least two of us in Queensland that ordered cars. Cheers
I have not yet. I am going to be trying to do all of those in one day this coming week and I will be weighing each box that is destined foreign, getting a rate online, and sending a PayPal invoice to each one of you. Hang in there, I will get them moving as quick as I can! Charlie
Nice work Charlie. Hopefully the Australian bound ones will make the trip by the 2nd week in April so I can run it on my layout during the Australian N scale Convention in Melbourne.
Yes, I will do what I can. Here is where we are on that: I learned that in order to get the right rate on the postage I need to weight them at home. I don't need to do this with domestic shipments. So, today I went to a place that rhymes with "small fart" and purchased a scale. I got home, installed the batteries, and ..... nothing. So, I have to take it back and get another. When I have a scale, these are the steps I will follow: 1) Pack and weight the packages. 2) Compute the postage for each foreign order. 3) Send a PayPal invoice to each person for the balance. 4) As soon as it is paid, the order ships. Obviously, orders received from outside the U.S. were with the understanding that there would be additional postage. Thanks guys. Charlie
Charlie, Thanks for the update.. Your effort is most appreciated.. I for one understand that there is extra work and cost involved for us that dont live in the US. Im more than happy to wait for the car to arrive when ever.. Thanks again.. Brendan.
By the way, if it were not for a couple of minor logistical issues, I would be happy to deliver the cars to Australia myself. Charlie
Thanks for the update Charlie I am sure you would enjoy a visit to Aussie. Bye the way, there is a big train show in Brisbane on 4th & 5th May, another in Toowoomba, Queensland, in June, so a holiday could take in both. Cheers
