Western Maryland #501, at the Cumberland, MD depot, brought the baggage car for hauling the bikes up to the Frostburg, MD depot.
These two pictures were taken while I was visiting family in California for a week. Both are Panoramic Shots from my iPhone 4s. I only cropped and re-sized both pictures to fit Trainboard's upload requirements. The first picture was taken on 9/8/15. The Piers and the single bridge section are all that remains of the Yosemite Valley Railroad's Barrett Bridge. The bridge was removed because a new Reservoir Dam would submerge the bridge. On the hillside (left-side of the picture) you can the water line for when the lake is full. http://www.yosemitevalleyrr.com/prototype/thennow The second picture really needs no explanation. It is the Tehachapi Loop. taken on 9/6/15 Tehachapi Loop
