Did the bottom Site Ring section load? That seems to not always happen if you hit the page directly but will after a reload. Not sure of that cause of that is yet. You should have also seen several trains going both ways including some that stopped as well as reversed. Did this happen for you? What Browser are you using?
It wouldn't open for me, accusing me of having IE5. I'm sure I have 6. The other night when I tried, it locked up my machine.
All this worked quite well when I looked at your site. I'm not sure what version of IE I have, but apparently it ain't 5.0. Again, nice job!
I forgot, you can only use UBB code and not HTML in the signature so that would limit you to animated GIF files such as the one I use.
Well there is the UBB code "move", does work in the body of the post, just not the signature area. However, I'm content with what I got now.
Mike, I know I saw a message that you posted where the gifs were moving, in the last couple of days. Are you going to tell us the secret?
<marquee> </marquee> replace the { and } with < and > replace the ( and ) with [ and ] replace my url with your url remove extra spaces give credit to your gif source (in my case FROGRAIL, thank you!) {marquee} (IMG) http://www.railimages.com/albums/album92/abu.gif (/IMG) {/marquee} In my case, I made all 4 gif's a single gif with one of my graphic design programs... otherwise you have to list somehow list the images (not sure on this yet) Good Luck! Glad you all like the gifs., Nice to see them in good use.......... And do to copyright considerations I dont mind the use of any gifs found on my site or those posted on frograil under my contributions.......... The main beef would be them being used in business logos that would generate revenue to the user using such............... And if ya dont see any gifs your lookin for check my link page theyre are several artists doin them now and requests are always welcome from such artists enjoy..... David Ryan Hersrud =)
http://mtldrm38.topcities.com/mindovermetal003.html I ll have to correct the profile web link sorry about that! Dave =)
Hi Dave, welcome to TrainBoard. Hope you'll enjoy all your visits. As you can tell, your work has many fans here, and we all appreciate your use permission. Bill
Bummer, no D&H to add to my virtual layout. Your "Tutorial" on how to make them though is great so I might just start building some D&H files myself.
If you check out the link page you ll find links to: Dan Mackellar and Brian Clough which have done quite a few D&H stuff., plus Ive done a couple cars which are posted under the Northeast Lines......................I intend to add a drop down directory link to the main page soon., which before I use to have all rails giffed in buttons on the main page but dial uppers where havin probs waitin for it to open...:*( But I ll have that directory loaded by the weekend on the main page............ And yes its always fun to see new artists evolve lookin fwd to seeing and one artist also created a train gif calculator to help artists scale theyre gifs better..... You can find a copy of the file in Yahoo Groups Train Gif Artists or email me and I ll send ya a file on it pretty easy to use and handy to have...... Dave =)
I didn't see the Northeast Lines section so I missed them. I've already been in contact with Brian Clough & Dan Mackellar and they are letting me use their GIF's on my web site. Now that I found your two D&H GIF files I see that they match two that I was sent but had not been told who created them; now I know so I can make sure you get the credit!!!!!!!!
