Thirty cars out of 167 in the train derailed when a bridge partially collapsed. Nobody was hurt. Initial reports are that the massive amounts of rain we've had recently are probably the culprit. There are pictures at the link. Amtrak is affected, and this could take a while to repair.

Rain in Central Maryland and surrounding areas since Tuesday have had accumulations as much as a foot - Were that SNOW the accumulation would have been approximately 10 FEET. A lot of water softens the ground everywhere.
