Just a heads up... the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands, California will be hosting its annual TrainDays on January 19th and 20th. Here is a link to the Museum's information page: http://www.co.san-bernardino.ca.us/museum/ and click on Train Days.

Lots going on, special activities for kids, music, and Women in Railroading will be showing a trailer for their new documentary on the Harvey Girls. Two of the Harvey Girls will be there to talk and answer questions about their experiences.

(Complete Disclosure: One of my layouts will be exhibited there, and I will be there running trains. :shade: My 15 min. of fame!)

Hmm, not sure if I will be able to make this one cause that's the weekend of my wife's birthday though I do get paid the friday before. Plus World's greatest Hobby is next week. Hmm, 3 shows in January? And with all my complaining....

I should have included this in my original post... this is an model train exhibit and not a swap meet or sales event. Those involved are prohibited from any commercial activities, so I am told. Still, lots of trains to look at and modelers to chat with. :)

I do hope to attend if for nothing but to see the layouts and speak with fellow modelers in the area as its eems like NOBODY around here(inland empire) is hardly interested in getting together.
I will take my camera and post some photos on this thread.

I went but my camara battery died. Its been giving me problems. Bookbears layout was well done and he was a plearure to talk with. There was also a Christmas theme layout in n scale that looked prety good. I must say the 2 large modular layouts fell short to me. Some of the details seemed like they were there before but were missing now. The upsatirs layout, Orange County Modular club(I think), had a few sections that were prety cool. An industrial area that was well done and looked like it would be fun to operate.
There were quite a few people there to enjoy it all and compared to last year could be considered a good show. Last year I heard was very windy and most of the activities for the kids were outside. It seemed to be a deterent.
All in all I was glad I went.
