On Saturday I was at a community event in the Atwater Village district of Los Angeles, and took a picture of this mural depicting how the railroads have been influential to their neighborhood. The SP-built Glendale train station is just across the tracks, and SP's Taylor Yard once served countless trains per day nearby.
