These are tool/aids that one can use to help in soldering two pieces of ME Code 55 or 70 track together if you don't want to use rail joiners. Tools to join two pieces of code 55 to each other or two pieces of code 70 to each other or code 55 to code 70.

I did already show how I joined code 55 to 70 ( HERE ) without the use of soldering aids but since I wanted to do a number of these I decided to design and print the tools shown below. It was fairly quick and easy to do as I was able to use the track shaping tool described ( HERE ) as a basis for the design.

I designed and printed them as I have some areas (mostly hidden) with ME code 70 in them and the rest of the layout is code 55 and I needed to transition between them. I had to do the same on the 'track elevator' approaches but did those differently as I want to be able to adjust them if needed.

I realize there are numerous other methods to address the joining of two pieces of the same size or different size track together so won't try and cover any of those here as there is a lot of info on them out there all ready. So on to the images that hopefully explain how to use these tools............

You can find the files to print this on my thingiverse.com account ( HERE after I post them ).

You can find all the files to 3D print this object and others on my thingiverse.com account ( HERE ).

You can also find the above info and more track tools and builds ( HERE ).

shouldn't the code 55 be 15 thou HIGHER than the code 70 ,, rather than the other way around ??

whoops.. saw my error, they are soldered upside down , lol
