    i have a problem with my flex track. i have 2 peaces on a corner and they are connected at a corner. my problem is whenever anything goes over it derails. i tried repositing the track in the corner, and it is a omost perfect connection, and it still derails! what do i do?! :confused: :mad:

    remove the two pieces of track from the layout. Then, make the connection, as straight a joint as possible.

    Then solder the railjoiners to the rails. Reinstall on the curve. You should be fine then.

    If that's not an option, readjust the joints so they fall on straights, instead of on the curve.

    Sounds as though the track gauge may have pulled in so that it's a little tight.

    I always solder my flex track so that it is first straight. Just as Jeff suggests. Then form the arc. And then check the gauge.

    Be certain that the sliding rail of the flex sections is on the outside of the curve.

    Ifs its a perfect round curve then two things could be wrong. First, check your gauge at the connecting point between the two track sections and second get down level with the track and "eyeball" the connection to see if there is a small "dip" in the two rails where they meet. Small or large "dips" are common when soldering long sections of flextrack and a locomotive can derail easy of the "dip" is too large.
