Here is my track plan for an N scale layout. I hope you enjoy it.

It is a point-to-point folded dogbone scheme with a hidden helix and hidden reverse loop. A 2% grade starts at the end of the yard and ends at the start of the second passing siding, which will have a small industrial zone off it.

Operations will be centered on helper service, locals, through freights and amtraks, and occasional excursion trains and commuters, and a little flat switching, engine service, passenger stops and crew changes in the yard.

The curve radius varies from 45" down to a minimum of 18", and there will be curved turnouts used where they will save space.

I like it and once again am drawing inspiraton from your work. I cannot wait for the 15th when my friend with van can help get the lumber here.

    Jeff,
You could try my idea of a False Backdrop, to hide that hidden track....

Hmm, yes I could definately see the merit of that type of view blocker on the right end of the yard. Thanks for the tip.
