Bob, Have you thought about getting a cvp for remote control on JJJ&E. I know you have phone that you use. Hope you have a nice time in texas if you have not gone already Say Hi to your nice lady. She was very nice to meet. Alan
Alan: I'm in Plano Texas as I post this reply. I'm content with using the phone as a fourth handheld. I have three LH 100's to use. Two weren't connected the day you came to visit. My wife Arleen says hello.... Stay cool and run steam....
Hi Alan, I have actually looked into this. For me, the cost is too much at this point in time, though If I can find a used throttle, I could probably justify buying the base station. Basically, If you want to get started with the CVP wireless system, it'll cost you $258 (for the base station and 1 RF1300 throttle) plus shipping. In the mean time, the XPA and a cordless telephone phone does a fine job of controlling trains remotely, at a fraction of the cost (which can be as low as $60 with the right cordless phone). Paul
