    Wow. I looked up that dome car and it's former B&O and once named "Sky Dome". Given its appearance, I thought it might be home built, but it was a Pullman-Standard product. Lives today at the Museum of Transport in St Louis.

    The N scale ROWA/MRC dome car was modeled after that. Only they added fluting below the windows.

    Not Amtrak but I am reminded of riding the Empire Builder through Glacier Park back in June of 1961. I can only do so much in Photo Shop to fix this old photo that my brother took from the train of one of the lodges.
