Curious as to what color everyone is using on their Narrow Gauge layouts. My guess is they didn't treat the ties in the early 1900's. :question:
I hand-lay my rail and use India ink to dye the ties. I have found ties in a package contain different densities, and stain in different hues ... fairly realistic. )
