Glad to see TrainBoard up again and thank you @bremner. The only upside of the outage was that I got a lot more done on my model railroad than would have been accomplished otherwise.
Thanks! I'd tried the Chrome, "go unsafe thing", but the site didn't load completely. Now all's good...
With TrainBoard down, I was concerned about its future, so searched around the 'net for a substitute. I found that there's nothing like TrainBoard, with its mix of model and prototype interests, lack of invasive ads and relaxed conversation. I didn't join any of them.
Prior to joining this board, I had joined another. It had an N scale section but almost no N scale interest. I tried it again while this board was down, same thing as before. So glad this board is back up.
That's been a recurring problem, but events have rarely lasted this long. https://www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?threads/is-tb-really-slow-or-it-is-just-me.155289/
And also very much so, for the Staff here. In the absence of our site owner, we are doing everything within our powers, to keep this place going. However, we lack access to a couple of key settings on the server, and also within the operating system. So we do our best with what we have and that is all we can do.. Unfortunately, (outside of this conversation), we have seen a few who have castigated and lambasted us for not doing enough. Such boors have no clue the efforts which we, all volunteers, put forth daily. Some of us well exceeding twenty years of our lives, when we could have certainly been doing other things with hobbies, friends, family. Rest assured that all we can do is being done.
