Andrew, welcome to Trainboard. Are these the same engines that Richard Jenkins "discovered" some time ago? How many members have you recruited so far? I wish I lived closer, would like to see them and help out.
Edit--I looked at the site, and see that it is Richard's site. 4-8-0's are interesting, like the 475 at Strasburg. [IMG]

    Hi
We have about 40 people interested in helping out at this point. When we get our 501(c)(3) status we will start recruting in effort. Many of the 40 or so people live some distance away. I hope to send off the Virginia forms for non profit status the week after Thanksgiving and once that is done we can start working on the federal paperwork. We can actually take donations at this time though they wont be tax deductable. We are also working on a web page too so I will post the info when it comes avalable

    Andrew,

How do you plan to restore them? I am assuming cosmetically right now, as mainline steam would involve lots of money and a cooperative railroad.

    Hi
When or If (things are still up in the air at this time) we get the Locomotives we will Probably have to dismantle them to move them to a new location, Whoich will give us a chance to clean and fix the different parts as we put them back together.Even cosmetic restoration will tale a good bit iof time and Monies. It is going to be a long road ahead.. As far as to restoring anything to running condition one of the Diesels may be the first because the rules regarding diesel are not as stringent as steamers. As you see there is lots of work ahead of us for years to come.
