The Union Pacific is really good at putting on a great show. On my drive home from work I pass under part of the yard in Ft. Worth. This evening there was a container train moving through the yard as I approached the underpass. Before I went underneath, a lashup of what I believe to be local power was moving some cars. The lashup consisted of a SD40-2, a SD45 still in Rio Grande colors, and a UP tunnel motor (which I've seen a couple of times before). All this and the container train. I had to concentrate on staying on the road. If I'm lucky I get to see something like this 2 or 3 times a week, and some mornings I catch a BNSF train on the east side of downtown. Then on the days I want variety in my diet I can catch some shortline action on the Ft. Worth Western over by TCU. All this sure beats where I used to live. The highlight there was seeing a Grand Truck GP-38 working the local once or twice a month.

If I spend to much time here I'm sure to become a UP fan. I might look good in yellow and gray.

If that SD50 is unpatched it is probably DRGW 5503. If that Tunnel Motor has a three foot gap between the rear of the front truck and the fuel tank it is an ex DRGW one.
